so work officially kicked in this mon and it wasnt so bad afterall, the 12-hr shift. and im off-ed again for 2 days. which i basically just rotted at home and got my beauty sleep =)! anyhowss, will be on night shift later on. jitters now. 8pm - 8am *cross fingers* shall attempt to keep myself busy.

the thing is. im not so thrilled for the idea cos i've been thinking of gettin a room for myself. after like 2 decades of sharing, and the amount of junk and stuffs we generate. the room just seemed all too tiny to contain them. and the worst part is my parents arent gonna sponsor a single cent.
and then resulting in me paying for everything since i got a job while my sis is still studying. abit unfair huh. but wad can i say. they say i cld use my yr end bonus to do it. yeah i can. but when i get a room all to myself i wld have to pay for everything AGAIN..

the past couple of weeks have been real BUSY!

HAHAAAAA.
went down to the IT fair on sun. zomgoodness. its PACKED with HUMANS!!! hahaa i was late, and i went alone so i practically squeezed my way thru, like some typical aunties who liked to squeeze into a pack bus. so unglam..LOL.

anyways. added the long awaited ipod classic into my inventory list. which also meant my PETTY CASH days are over. =( *sobs* counting down to my next pay day....hehhheehhh. which is like 11 more days...no more spending til my limbs come!!!! STOP BUYING ANYTHING LIM CHIN YANNNNNNNNNNNN!!!!!!!!!

YEAH!! my first recurve event after gazillion years of not competing!! hahaa and it was more then wad i expected of myself. haha

IKO was a waste for me tho. my heart was racing and anxiety got over me. haha cldnt concentrate and lost by 2pts. hahaa.

TKO was sooo DRAMA can. haaha we're fighting for bronze and our third end was terrific!! fourth end was not too good tho . hahaa. quite funny .
on the third end, the countdown timer's got like 20secs left and i actually loaded the arrow wrongly!!! OMG. hahaaa. DR counted that i took 10secs to load it wrongly and then to correct it. hahaaaaaa. shot the arrow with a couple of secs left on the timer i think.

fourth end, last 18secs for me to shoot the last arrow...
loaded the arrow right this time...was the last archer on the firing line...
SOooo, i took my own sweet time for the setup made sure everything's stable...
and then *click* ...
10PTS!!!
OMGGGG. the best feeling that i've felt in a loooooong time.

hahaa. here comes the drama part the summing up of the total pts.
i counted NUS pts. no prob....
i counted ours twice and we 'lost' by a 1pt.
Even the judge also unofficially announced that they won. and so Linette got so hyped up she ran and jumped onto Gerri. Gerri cldnt take her wt and they fell on Serene's bow. *piak* her sight and her string broke.

then jieying felt something's amiss and i thought so too. we calculated again. realised we missed a 6pt from our scores!! OMGGG. dont ask me why i missed it twice earlier (dunno why too).
immediately we called for nus to rectify.

HAHAAAAAaaaaaa. omg. they broke the sight and string for absolutely nothing. and linette became a laughing stock. felt abit guilty tho. SORRY NUS!!...hahahaha..
after the event we went cam whoring hahaaa.. so damn funnn....cant wait to get the pics!!! overall, that was one of the best weekend for meee!! =)

apparently i tot i was superwoman. haha can survive today at work. but things turn out to be entirely opposite...

by the time i reached the lockers i felt like DYING alr. hang-ed on for as long as i cld. i cldnt even stand up straight! literally feel like im the weakest person on earth. cldnt take it anymore. told velu and palanis im heading home to get a mc. lol.

today can be the SUAY-EST day ever. i reached the clinic only to find out it closed for lunch!!! OMGGG... i cant even breathe properly alr. (not exaggerating..serious) lucky the doc's rather on time.

saw the doc with all the symptoms alerted.the doc took my temp and it FRIGGIN 40.3.!!! no wonder i felt like dying, with my eyes burning red hot. so here i am at home just finished my lunch and medication. was told to sit up for an hr, meanwhile im ranting to nobody abt my sickness!!!!haahaaaa.

-WED 23/4-

First day to work. Woke exceptionally early like 5.30AM...didnt feel too well. SINUSssssss!!!!
anyways. Jurong Island checkpt is such a busy place. the shuttle bus so ATTITUDE! they dont wait for peeps. cos the other employees had a permanent entry pass they'd scan and get on the bus right away.
i didnt have the pass and had to exchange for the 'V'isitor pass. the ppl issuing the V pass move at turtle speed. i missed two of the shuttle buses to chevron. LOL. was quite funny actually.
nisha came to my rescue again hahaaa. so my first day started out chaotic and it didnt end after that.
so everything was such a rush in order to allow me to start the practical training with the others....note that i've not completed.....

1) SOC course
2) e-learning (chevron's)
3) theory lessons - terrence's on med leave.

after a brief intro of the company's policy and history blablabla.....i joined them for some pract lessons. feels like im back in school doing Advance practical sessions. i LIKE =)
our trainer VELU (team 1 leader ) is very niceee leh.

got my temp 2 sets of uniform. and the safety shoes. (one size bigger) and its like dragging it while walking... size 4 please come faster..got my locker. CCR(lab) is sooooooooo blardy far away from the admin building!! (takes like 10mins to walk reaaaaal fast there..)

was supposed to do the perm JTC card. but tooo late lerh.

Thurs - DAY 2-
SINUSS still goin on..

mornin... still with no perm pass . i missed the first shuttle bus again =((
went to the lab for more lessons. more introductions to seniors of different shift teams. haha actually i dont remember alot of them after that. HAH. even team 4's leader PAUL. he's was one of the interviewer....hahaha

anyways. after lunch was quite slack. hahaaaaaa=) went for some company's web portal talk. do the smart badge . and after that the bus uncle drove me to make the perm pass. (finally!) den home sweet home.

FRI- DAY3 - sore throat.

felt like dying when i first woke up. =(((
haha managed to not miss the shuttle bus. got my smart badge yeahhh! w/o it was like HELL.

full day at lab. gooood we covered a handful of water tests . =) i've got lots of reading up to do for the weekend. haha i'm leaving all that til tmr after archery i guess.

it was interesting but cant disclose much about it ...
went for the medical checkup the next day after they asked me to...
hope i'll get the job as the lab tech there.

it was an ambitious attempt all along n i knew it from the start.
ever since the end of finals.

embarked on 2 mths intensive training scheme. did nothing else (literally)
gave it my all but i think it just aint good enough. aint joining the event for fun/experience. my intentions were much bigger than that. it was really hard to let it go and it had been occupying my thoughts this couple of weeks.

i worked my ass offf. managed to hit 1006/1440 for a full fita rd. i know it can be increased in the next couple of weeks. but i knew this push was far too extreme. and i cld injure myself.
i know the squad's std. even hitting 1100s wldn't be even close. plus IKO haha. my IKO totally sucks.

welll...there's still next year. but the question is where'll i be then... depressing i know. hahaa
next time rd. i wld start 6-12mths stint and hit 1300ss....hahahaaaaa
i'll feel better soon i guess....

i released an arrow while doing bow training in my mum's room where there are manyyyy mirrors hahaa. lucky the impact wasnt that big cos i was about to put my bow down and thats when the string slipped off my fingers...

okay fine not very funny. just got screamed at by my mum. my dad's turn will come soon when he sees it later....-.-'. im not that superstitious type but my parents are!. die die dieeee. hahaaa.

hmmm. today felt 'great' all because of my ambitious attempt to hit a full fita round.(70/60/50/30m) sadly i cld only finish 70/60m and sighted for 50m roughly.

hahaha.. shot with ade and rach. two of them pms-ing. hahaaa.. blacked faces and very moody...=.=
lol and managed to only take score for 70/60m.

SOOOOOooo lousy can. arrows grouping at left/right... and i cant clickkkkk = canting = left....
the only consolation was the satisfaction of shooting ard 100arrows today in say about 3+ hrs. hahaa
shoot until i feel the numbness or soar in my fingers now. and my pinky hahaa was almost cramped again ....

i need CONSISTENCY and esp GOOD FORM!!! the date is near (have to decide before 6th) and i bet i cant even hit 1000pts. =( tmr's rest day before i resume at 70m on TUES.

im falling in love with 70m =) . it doesnt seem so scary anymore.but the retrieving of arrows is tedious. imagine walking 140m after shooting 6 arrows per end. 100/6 = 16.7 times of walking 140m. usually we take the retrieving as our rest time before we cont'd the next end.

but im just tired today. sweat like a pig tooo. omg today's really humid. not tooo sunnay but definitely WARM. hate humid days, they make my face more oily = pimples!! argh... okay im beat and blocked up. so i shall update next time. bye my dears =))

ooh so far the year 2008 has been good for me... nothing too much to worry about.

exams are over which also marks the end of my poly life and i have no idea whats coming next yet....

CNY's as usual this year. haah have to thank my mum esp for the increase in angbao money...=)) yeah..hahaha.. oh yea. besides the receiving of angbao. i didnt really feel the festive mood... prolly because its so early in the feb....hmmm... maybe because we dont talk to our cousins that much like we used to in our childhood days?.. forcing me to make decisions.

not that im regreting the ones made the past yr entirely but if im given a chance to go back again, i wld like to see what happens if i chose the other route..hmmm

i lost the opportunity to be with the best last year and looks like history is going to repeat itself yet again... due to other commitments i was entirely off-ed form. and now, one month isn't going to bring it all back ... and besides im not even fully fit. (have been really slack from any forms of training)...although i dun really know when and how, im goin to make sure i will be there someday somehow.

ever wonder why all the major decisions u have to make pops up altogether at the same period of time, always forcing you to decide over the other and regret why u cant have both or ponder on the results if u have chosen the other. ? haaaha...well i guess that's just life and we have to deal with it...

was talking to sj (not sijun) about her probs, well she's just the same old her. haha i think i beginning to understand the old saying of - " u gotta accept ur friends just for who they're and not try to change them.".. we'll just have to forgive each other's shortcomings.

haha..somehow i get the x'mas vibes more this year compared to the previous...or maybe its due to my fading memories. haha..cant really recall how i spent xmas the last couple of years. hahah i know...im that lousy at remembering stuff.

anyways. its christmas and its the day of giving haha i was actually leading to the topic of SHOPPING!!! oh no...im gettin quite addicted to shopping be it online or shopping in stores... i need more clothes and theres a really loooonnnnnnng list of things i wanna get!.. n the main prob is where'd the money!!! hahaha....

haiz. i shall place GREEN PAPER (valuable ones..with a famous head in it) as the top item of my wishlist! hahaha..

anyways. was out to celebrate xmas eve with the arch yr3 clique.. was supposed to go waraku.. den -.- they suggested goin fer buffet style cos the guys are like HUNGRY men. den shui bian lo.... we went to MOF (ministry of food) = NO BUFFET! den detoured to yuki yaki...but the waiting list queued to 8.30 alr!!! OMG -we ended up at the last place that i wld want to eat in.. SEOUL GARDEN!!!

not nice and waste of my money. hah. lucky the ice-klim was nicee... haha.. so we managed to catch up with one another while having the oil splatting all over the place ...n because they were all busy with internship.fyp.army(GL)... and we're all from diff course so its really hard for us to see each other that often. too bad shimin cldn't join us it wld have been more fun with her ard. haha..anyways. we will probably have another gathering after exams. yeah! and sj's gonna treat us.due to our evil scheme..MUAHAHAHAHA.

oh yea.. i almost forgot to mention abt the all impt event of the yr3s life - CLS ADD (masquerade ball)...haha.im glad i went.if not i wldn't have the chance to witness gals turning into real beauties and ladies.. guys shaping into hunks and dashing men. im not kiddin' i was appalled.

okay let me flashback a 'lil..
i was actually slacking the whole morning hahaa not thinking of doin much prep to myself before the dinner until ard 4pm got ready and took a cab down...hahaha i know..

okay lets cut it short to the best parts of the night.
i guessed the gals and guys in my class really know how to rise to the occasion...oh well not forgeting the rest of the CLS' peeps either.. all them looked magnificent... wad can i say..im actually dumbfounded...hhahaa..
the only letdown of the day was the food..hah so much for being a rather famous hotel.

anyways. emcee was a funny man altho' sometimes he can be somewhat rude(..?)
oh zj was the best dressed male haha not bad huh!! wanwei was the best dessed female. no kidding.. she wore some 18th century (lookalike) gown which best fit the theme - masquerade! haha.. all she lacked was a mask. all the other ladies were in gowns and dresses of the modern era. my hat's off to the gal who wore the indianie costume.... it was quite nice.. and daring..

well...that was one of the highlights of the night.. we had a couple of cheers and games and we had a lot of fun!! haha.. too bad i have no luck in the lucky draw. so it came to the end of the dinner = more cam-whoring sessions.... after dat we went back to the dancefloor. haha did silly stuffs.. lucky there's only our class and some of the other IC peeps there hahaa.. danced all the way to the last song and then we headed back to the room....

and spent the night listening to gossips. watch football.. and ate char kway teow at 4am.. must thank alex for getting food for us!! (i must be outta my mind and really hungry then)...

fell asleep for awhile before getting really annoyed by the recurring alarms from the irritating alarm clock and then decided to get back to my lovely bed before the rest does. and i managed to get a full 8hrs of beauty sleeeep!! ahahaa...

will post some pics when i get them... can't believe i actually wrote this much...okay im ending here now..til i blog again.....

So today marks the end to our FYP...

all the hardship, team work and also friendship that was put on the line all because of this FYP.
FYP was the most challenging yet brain-taxing thing that i've come across.

Beginning of the project was already a rocky start, with our original material that came only 4weeks before the submission of the FYP and FAILED the formation of hydrogels.

we only had to use another polymer instead. received little/(NONE) guidance from our sch's supervisor, the NUS supervisor also didnt really help us much until we came to the later stages of the report writing and presentation. BUT DR.LI XU is very kind and seem to have no tantrum at all haha...!

But im glad that we managed to pull it through as we WEAVED out a full-proof scheme...hahaa...
we made sure we synchronized well too! haha... and make sure that we seem to know all about our proj... An adv we had was because no one in sch knew what we were doing... not even the supervisor.! haha = easy to manipulate your answers.!! (oops)

others thought that our proj's secretive cos.. all our lab work was done in IMRE....they dont get to see our work. anyways, IMRE's really a fun place to be in.. if u intend to be a researcher... they have all the advanced instruments like XRD, NMR.... and so on..plus its located in NUS... with a lot of CANTEENS... haha...the coffee cheesecake is zomgg nice!..

they say you have a yr to do your FYP. we only did ours in 1/2 year...haha..first half we practically waited for nothing. material was not ordered which shld have been done so... started on another polymer only after 1 sem was alr over.

when we first started in the lab. we knew NOTHING about our project.. even after reading the journal dr.li gave us.. we're still quite clueless..haha basically we just followed instructions...

as we go on with the proj. we started to understand the topic a bit more with some explanation given by dr.li. So that helped us a tremendously when we were writing our FYP report..miraculously we managed to whop up 76 pages of quality report (i believe so)..haha..

today's the final judgement day (presentation)
argh...so disappointed in myself.... we went through countless of times. most of it seemed stable. but during the presentation...my mind went blank and i started to fumble on my words as i scrolled the slides erratically...haha
they thought it was due to the remote control....hhaaahhh..
anyways...so at the end...it got better ( phew) managed to get myself back together..

Q&A was...... haiz...
we knew the answers at the back of our heads. but we didnt really answered the way we shld. we were having a mini competition to answer the questions...haha... our bad...
but overall i think we managed to answer most of them well.. hahaa
that marks the end of our FYP....lets hope we'll get a decent grade like B+ or higher...haha (hopefully)....

now i feel kinda light considering the fyp load was taken out... seemed kinda lost for the moment.. like something is missing... i think its the stresss of fyp hahaha....

now all i need to focus on is to study for the upcoming quizzes and FINALS which is 5-6weeks from now...with 2 weeks of term break...yeah!!!

im sooo not in the mood to study for the quiz on fri....HOW?? someone pls knock some sense in me!!!! study!!!!!

i have been missing a lot of my stuff recently..

now its my ezlink card... i dont even know how i misplaced it...
was at taka to get the armsocks...den when we left taka i noticed something isnt right..

i checked my bag and poooof... my ezlink card is nowhere to be found...argh.. my mood was totally spoilt then... but i didnt show it...dont wanna spoil everyone's mood..

argh...need to go through soo much trouble to report loss and get another one... i remember the last time i lost my card was in secondary school days... oh crap... i need to pay for the replacement....i cant let my parents know about it cos they will literally NAGGG the shit outta me like..... @#%@$^@ <- this is not exaggerating....im serious cos thats what i got from the last time i lost the stupid card....

first i had my jaws tucked in..which is better now...yeah!
after a couple of weeks of recuperating...

Off i head to Shanghai for itp for 7weeks... (it was more like a totally awesome vacation!!!)

after itp, back to sch for lectures.. den exams.. this sem's tougher than expected..
so that explained why i have cut down on numerous training sessions.

now(after exams), FYP... is hahaa...what can i say about it...hmm alot of unexpected situations occuring.. we'll just have to pray hard that we can present something that is not disastrous at the end of the whole process.

Meanwhile, while doing FYP.. im also trying to find some time to train.. so that i can get back in shape.. its rather disappointing since i havent gone for any competitions for 9mths and counting...hhaaah needless to say fyp will still come first..

tried to squeeze every single thing i memorized for PCCC today.. as usual was totally a "guess the answers" paper.

who knew that there are thinking questions to personal care and cosmetics chemistry..
totally a freaky mod... hahaa...know that its over my mind feels lighter... next up more chemistry!!! hahaha...

hmm..it seems that im not really in the mood for exams..or im just not feeling it... wheres the anxiety? wheres the anticipation for the next paper..??

now all i want to do is just forced the notes into my overloaded brain cells and pour it all out during the paper.. im just tired of this system... gettin really restless about it...hahaa u can say i feel nothing now not even when the next paper is just a couple of days away from now...

phew...the previous week has passed in a flash....
maybe its because i had absolutely no time to slack considering that i have 4 quizzes spread among tues-fri...

so i can declare cGMP is finally over.. tho' i have no hopes of getting anything higher than a C...hahaa (i've always hated MCQs) makes me go 50-50 with answers all the time...argh!!!...

i wonder if the sch's trying to con us for our study week..lolll
cos national day is on same week.

fyp's finally started..we're going to learn the process of making hydrogels...
the proj's quite interesting..however the process is done in several hrs...
last friday we managed to prepare the a-cyclodextrin solution and to completely dissolve it takes about 45mins in the water bath...
we also did GPC on the PEO-PLA to get the mass twice...
(each GPC sample analysis takes 45mins)

hahaa lucky for us...the have a instant coffee making machine just along the corridor of our lab (free) ..
hahaha = coffee breaks!! =)

went for the EHS training today..
was a total bore... but we cant access the labs til we go thru it and pass the quiz?...
that left us not much of a choice....

there are like tonnes of safety procedures to be followed....and you even need to do a risk assessment on every single experimental steps u take... how irritating is that...

actually, today was kinda short since it ended at 1pm...im wondering how to cope with more safety training tmr....its goin to stretch from 9-4pm!!!! lucky for us.. they have a dispenser for coffee..mocha...n milo...hahaaa...guess thats where i'll be heading to when they call for breaks in between..

ohhh btw did i mention the trainer was sooo busy answering his phone calls... the times he apologised for them were more than your fingers cld count..
plus i bet that he's a very heavy smoker...
with really bad teeth and a choked up throat that he needs to clear almost after every sentence he said?....

lets hope tmr's trainer Veron...leaves a better impression then he did...haha....cos i always thought the trainers' named stanley and veronica would present themselves as impressive as their names sound. haha... guess im alr half wrong....

went down for training today..
tried some parts of the B.E.S.T method..

and failed terribly at it. haha
now i know why even the full time archers go down to using 20lbs when they are training the method.

its so tirrrrrrring..
its takes alot of concentration and muscle strength to do a shot correctly. which meant that i almost wasted my training today. =(

but at least i can feel my muscles in the right place for some shots...haha...
im goin to try modifying my form again next week.. meanwhile its teraband for me during the weekdays...provided that my lazy ass will try to do the spts on a teraband which is darn boring...haahaha..

im sooo goin to have monday blues tmr....
2hrs lecture and 6 hrs of practicals.... =.=

live earth really rocks for those gian peng people...haha.
cos they managed to get a whole bunch of artistes to perform on the same day and its telecast on TV freee...

how great is that huhh!!...hahaha
somehow the papers got it right.
they do get the message sent but to only a small extent yea.
i mean very few would even remember the messages and short films played inbetween the commercial breaks. who would give a damn.
the impact they wanna give is most likely to be minimal....

but still... kudos to them for making an effort...

im pretty mad about wad happened this morning...u can call me petty all u want but i just cant stand this guy anymore....

he's not my guy rest assured... he's just a jerk from the club that i am still stucked in.. hmmm where shall i begin with.....

was raining in the morning and i even heard thunders.. so 1 guy msg-ed to ask if the training was still on. On normal wet weather days, trainings are understood to be CANCELLED or OPTIONAL. so i told the guy its cancelled since it was raining...

shortly i recieved a msg - " you told them its cancelled"... wad am i supposed to say... yeah duh...its raining... or are you blind?
hahaa..i didnt n ..i kindly replied him yeap...

but that asss replied he's exaperated and i shall do as i deem fit...!

helloooooo.... am i supposed to even care about wad u say... why cant u just F* off...so? am i supposed that when there's a wet weather we have to come up with some lame games and force them to play again??? hell no...i rather they have some more time to do other stuffs... but if u wanna do it..suit yourself. i aint goin to care wadever words that comes out of your scheming mouth.or even to whatever you do...u shall go eat your own shit....and i aint the puppet anymore.

im an lj idiot so i have to switch back to blogspot if i want to customise the blog.

so here i am. back again with blogspot that i once abandoned before...haha it was really ages ago but i was rather the attitude blogger type. i only type when i feel like it and its not really very often that i have the urge to exercise my fingers' muscles... LOLLLL!
